AGDI, you are the greatest! I have searched endlessly for these old games only to find they are so outdated and DOS (if that's an adjective) that they are unusable. Boy oh boy was I wrong... KQI and II are wonderful!
Having newly beat KQII, I have come to beg. I know that you are working on QFGII, and I eagerly look forward to playing it, but will you someday perhaps be making KQIII? You would be making one Palandin very very happy  :D .

Keep up the GREAT work.

There are at least 2 King Quest III projects already in progress, as far as I know.

Infamous Adventurers http://www.infamous-adventures.com/inde ... e=projects are doing a VGA remake, and Radiant http://www.geocities.com/p_simoons/kq3.htm is remaking it with an expanded plot and puzzles.

No offense to the other people but the one IA is making seems it would blow the other out the water.

Never heard of that expression before. Well both projects look cool, although I would prefere a VGA remake other than an expansion any time. No offence of course, just my humble opinion.  ;)

Well, of course, that's not going to happen now with the Grand Merging to Silver Sphinx.

No more IA KQ3, I'm afraid.

Yeah, it sucks. I expect Silver Sphinx (or whatever the name is) to amaze me with their next game.

Radiant's remake is also, alas, on hiatus, and I'm not sure when and if he'll be returning to work on it. On the bright side, his remake was also getting the VGA treatment, although he later decided to complete the game development using lo-res graphics first, and then look for help in replacing the graphics with VGA versions.

So is it done, just waiting to be "VGA-ifyed"?

Actually I got the feeling that IA are going to finish KQ3VGA... (I hope so!)  :rolleyes

Corsair, no. As I said, Radiant's remake is indefinitely on hold. I personally hope he'll return to it, since his remake had some excellent new puzzles, fleshed out the story, and got rid of what always pissed me off the most - the tight timeframe for getting everything done.

mergers?

So what does the merger with these two sites (IA and Silver Sphinx) mean exacly? I belive IA is imfamus adventure.

All the sites I know up to now about KQ III are:

http://www.nancycarterdesign.com/spongefactory/
http://www.geocities.com/p_simoons/kq3.htm
http://www.taleoftwokingdoms.com/index.php

The game from sounds like the Quest for infamy not played it yet but seems to be simalar. Am I right or just confussing games and the fan sits that making them?

I think it would be well interesting if AGDI were to remake KQ3, but on the other hand IA's project is looking promising. Maybe a KQ4 remake?  :lol

Hehe...Quest for Infamy: So you want to be a Villian?

Now that's what i'm talking about. This seems very cool. Other then that i will just wait for the severs to go back up...i cant seem to download the games on the main page of AGD >.<

The download script randomly accesses one of the mirrors. If you have problems, just keep trying and you should find a mirror that works. My own server is one of the mirrors, and I know it's up and running.

Hello! I'm new here and first of all I would like to congratulate AGDI for the excellent remakes they have done of KQ1 and KQ2

Since "Infamous Adventures" team are working on the remake of "King's Quest III," I would like to know if AGDI is has plans to work  a "King's Quest IV Remake" in the future (with Vivendi's permission of course) I have found that Sponge Factory Game is not working on it anymore.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with KQ3; but I tried to access the "more Remakes?" section of the forum but it does not respond.

Welcome to the forum! Please try to not post the same question in more than one thread. It makes things a bit difficult to follow.

AGDI does not have any plans for remaking KQIV.

One question, why shutdown the KQ9 Game after the Trailer, but the KQ3VGA from Infamous are still continuing with their Game after the Trailer.

AGDI remade two succesful KQ Games and are busy with QFG2VGA with no trailer, this site isent that entertaining as the KQ9 Site and AGDI are still allowed to continue even when VU said that QFG2VGA has a go ahead.

Project Katrina is an "Official/Unofficial" Game site like KQ9 and they are still active.

What did KQ9 do wrong that makes SQ7 still active.

My opinion is that VU's legal department isn't surfing the net all day looking for fangames. KQ9 indicated it was near completion, hence there was no point in waiting any longer for the project to potentially fold on its own. So it's the combination of:

- VU knowing about them

and

- Being near completion (since many projects die of their own, a company can avoid unnecessary bad publicity by singling out those who're not gonna quit on their own)

Your assumption that the other projects you mentioned are 100% safe seems inaccurate to me.
