Help needed.

#1 Post by Quest For Glory Fan » Fri Aug 19, 2005 2:58 am

Hello everyone,

I have recently destroyed my headphones. I'm not sure how it happened I just turned off my computer and it stopped working when I turned it on a little while ago. I checked all connections and all volume panels but still no sign of anything. Any suggestions are apreciated. I don't have much experiance with sound and don't want to mess anything up here.

Thanks in advance,
QFGF

Have you determined whether the problem is in the headphones or in your computer?  For example, if you plug the headphones into a stereo, do they work?  If you plug a pair of speakers into the headphone jack on your computer, do they work?

I've had similar problems, and usually it's come obscure setting in Control Panel that gets changed.

well it's a headset with a mic so I'll have to try that out and see if the mics working but I'm gone for a few days now so I'll get back on this then.
