Quest For Glory Fans

#1 Post by Tye » Tue Jan 22, 2008 3:59 am

I thought that any Quest For Glory fan should appreciate this... it's an edit/reconstruction of the original Hero's Quest box art. I don't think anything can truly beat the original, and that's certainly not what I was trying to do by creating this, but I did hope to give it some new life.

This image is not remotely close to being finished, but I thought I'd give you all a preview.

It looks very nice, but you posted in the wrong forum.  A mod will probably move this thread.

Uhm...oh.  Crud.  I thought this was the QFG 1 section...  Sorry for the lack of observation.

Oh, and you might enjoy this one too. ;)

Very nice use of Erasmus's quote in QG2! I chuckled.

Hahah, thanks. I was trying to figure out the perfect quote for the title of 'Screwed' and well... that seemed to fit very well.

I always loved that box art - and this is very well done!  Kudos!

Thank you. :) I'm thinking about going back and editing the Hero to look like the revamped hero... but we'll see...

Nah - keep him as is.  You know, I always liked the original EGA "costume" and design better.

Glad to know I'm not alone on that one... I think the revamped one looks less...heroic?

... btw... have these forums died?

Seems to be the case, but once QFG2VGA is released, they'll become quite active!

While hardly anyone's replied to this thread, I can tell that everyone's been viewing it, so, I thought I'd post an update to the picture here... it's nothing huge, just some minor details. I ordered this as an 11 x 14" poster and it turned out far better than I'd ever imagined! So I'll be making some major adjustments to the picture to better the detail, make it more clear, and fix certain bodily structures of both the dragon and the Hero...after which I will buy myself a 20 x 30" Matte poster.

If you're interested in the poster, please let me know. If you have any critique, critique away. If you have any requests, I'm all ears/eyes.

As for the requests, if you want me to make a picture for you, I can guarantee it done within two weeks, great quality, and anything from Quest for Glory 1 or 2.
