What is your Avatar?

#1 Post by JonWW » Mon Aug 18, 2008 6:21 pm

I have an avatar of Cerebus the Aardvark up on the Himalaya Forums:

But I decided to put an avatar of Arne Saknoosen from Quest for Glory 3 in the spirit of the release of Quest for Glory 2 VGA on this Forum:

What is your avatar a picture of?

Nash from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Most regulars know, even those that never played the game. I never had another in these 7 years. At least not on these forums.

I quote from the "Avatars..." thread of two years ago:
Brainiac wrote:Anyways, mine has always been the Glide Spell icon from Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire. That's right, the spell was initially coded into the game; it was disabled later in development. I use it because it reflects my desire to always get the most out of my games, my perfectionist nature, and my passion for mythology (c'mon, you can't tell me winged feet doesn't make you think of certain Greek myths).
Erpy and I are alike in that regard; neither of us has ever had a reason to change. Though there was one time a certain someone in charge turned it into a beachball...

I've had various images of guitars. Currently I'm sticking with this one since it's actually a picture of me playing my own guitar. Looks the best out of all the ones I've had.

Agreed! Not enough people know that though.

I still always think of you as 'Nash' rather then 'Erpy'. I'd actually just finished that game when I started lurking here so the association kinda stuck hard.

My Avatar is just part of a picture I drew in Flash to be my ID on Deviantart when I was still posting there. On other forums I usually use a Tank Girl Avatar I made a few years back.

Just don't confuse them physically; Erpy in no way possesses the same infamous physique of Nash. :p

Oh my sweet bippy that thread is 2 years old? I thought I posted in it last month. Mine is pretty self explanatory, Quest For Glory Fan uses a picture of the hero. I used the hero from v because it was a pose I hadn't seen in the game as I never finished V as a wizard or with Wizard side quests, also at that time all the other pictures I googled were taken.

Mine is a random Kangaroo with a bottle of wine in its pouch instead of a baby.
I creased at it for a few minutes and decided it would always be my avatar for forums

Simple as that.

Mine is a Dark Templar from StarCraft.
Works well for me because I'm just that kind of trouble-maker.

My avatar is of a comicbook hero, Northstar, famous for his membership of Alpha Flight and X-men. Furthermore, "my avatar is gay".

I remember when you changed yours "Gronmonger" but I don't remember what you changed it from. Funnily enough I still think of Angelus posts when I see Keanu Reeves.

Really? When I see Keanu Reeves I always think, "I hope this is another Bill and Ted because everything else has been a bus ride to hell." (Except Matrix I, that was okay.)

Mine is a monkey.

Only when I hold a magnifying glass to my screen at my resolution :p. My avatar is Alyx from Half-Life 2. Will probably change it soon. Haven't played the game for yonkers.

I totally agree with you Klytos. I seriously have no idea how that guy has managed to stay an A-list celebrity for so long. The man can't act!!!
