Anybody have a link to that patch that keeps QFG4 running smooth?

That should work - over the last few days i used the same patch and DOSBox and played the game through (on Vista).

I did have a few "Error 47" in random places (strangely not coming down the slippery slope in the very beginning of the game), but those were few and far between and appeared almost at random. The one case where it did happen was easliy solved by turning the detail all the way down and speed up.

Most importantly, it defeated the evil "Error 52". I had never completed the game based on those damned stupid chernovies!

What can I say?

I figured I'd ask the experts before I went hobbling about looking for sketchy (and in some cases, long dead) links.

...at least my ignorance and lack of 'google' motivation provided an easy target/distraction to poke at while we all wait for the release tonight.
