Something interesting I noticed in a recent playthrough of QFG1VGA: The icons in the menu bar for "run" and "rest", when clicked, seem to show the Hero in a slightly different costume than seen throughout the rest of QFG1VGA. His pants are a deep teal blue instead of green, and there appears to be a black shoulder belt slung over his right shoulder, on top of the Hero's jerkin.

Interestingly enough, this same costume design (but lacking the shirt beneath the Hero's leather jerkin) appears on the box art of QFG3. Strange...

Well, QfG1VGA and QfG3 were developed around the same time, so I'm sure some resources were shared between projects. It's possible those icons were originally intended for QfG3 (to go along with the box art) but were subsequently dropped from that project and used in QfG1VGA instead.
