KQ6 on DOSBOX
hey all.....
I have KQ6 running fine in dosbox, but im wondering in the intro the cutscene seems to be kinda choppy (like the framerate is slow) (I think :s) does anyone know how if possible to fix this?

Re: KQ6 on DOSBOX
Increase CPU Cycles while running DOSBox (Ctrl+F12) or set cpu cycles to "max" in the dosbox.conf file.

Re: KQ6 on DOSBOX
It should be in the same directory you installed DOSBox in. If you have the latest version of DOSBox installed (0.73) you can access it right from the start menu.

Re: KQ6 on DOSBOX
There's also a command to do it in Windows, I believe it's F12 to increase and F9 to decrease bt I could be wrong. In the title bar of the Dosbox application it'll say CPU CYLCLES so just watch what the number is ( I think default is6000) and see if it changes. Each game has it's own recommended cycles because if yoyu put it too high weird things can happen. I think for a game like KQVI the optimal cycle speed is around 9000 but don't you dare go OVER 9000

You mean in DOSBox . I already said that. And no it's not F9. It's Ctrl+F12 to increase and Ctrl+F11 to decrease. Ctrl+F9 quits DOSBox.

Re: KQ6 on DOSBOX
ah my buttons are different forgot which of those 3 utility buttons did it, I misread your original post and thought you meant ctrl F12 went to max cycles. haha, I did this two posts in a row it seems.
what I actually meant was running dosbox in windows as opposed to doing it on my mac where buttons like alt and windows key are foreingYou mean in DOSBox
