Sierra Videos on YouTube - "SierraMultimedia" is like Museum

#1 Post by pbpb33 » Sun Aug 23, 2009 1:52 pm

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to the person with the account "SierraMultimedia" on YouTube. This person has collected in one YouTube channel what has to be nearly every Sierra-related video in existence.

He/she has organized the videos very well. The collection is very comprehensive and has all kinds of rare stuff many fans may not have seen before. (link below)

In addition to preserving these videos, it is also a challenge to make widely available older computer game "abandonware" software. Unlike old movies and music, which continue to be widely appreciated, old computer games are so easily forgotten. It probably doesn't help that these older games were written for specific computer specifications.

Thank goodness there are people like "SierraMultimedia" collecting all this video material and making a museum of sorts for the benefit of everyone. After all, it's obvious Sierra/Activision/Blizzard has no interest in the past... look at how they have over the last decade thoroughly neglected and allowed to wither away into oblivion their intellectual property from the major series of the past.
