Have you tried any of the compatabilty modes by right clicking on the game exe file?

Have you tried visiting Sierra Help? The site and the message board that's part of it are probably the best place on the internet to search for technical advice on getting Sierra games running.

It wouldn't be a problem with mask.exe its on the CD so its read-only and can't be changed or corrupted. It'll be Vista's inabilty to load the exe.

As Erpy suggested, that Sierra Help site would be your best bet.

Thats why I never upgraded to Vista, XP suits me fine and runs all my old games lol!

I won't ever be using Vista. I'll go straight to Windows 7 if I have to change.

Ditto, but not until there's a working method of playing old DOS games, whether it be DosBox or a virtual solution like VMWare or something!!

@Angelus: In that case I'd probably stick with Ubuntu until such time as DOS compatibility comes along :).
