I wonder if they'll sacrifice some of the raunch for more humour, since they're using such a cartoony style.

I don't think so, Love for Sail was cartoony too, and had some highly sought-after easter eggs.

Leisure Suit Larry 1 isn't really that raunchy, especially by today's standards. It's actually pretty tame.

Looks really good and interesting. Having said that I would've been more interested in seeing a LSL 2 and 3 remake given no update yet has been made from the original EGA versions.

Yup I'm more interested in Larry 2 and 3. Been waiting for a remake for ages. Good that they're involving Al Lowe for this.

The first seven games eh? That would indicate either Magna Cum Laude gets a remake or somebody stole LSL4 from Al Lowe's basement safe.

Or maybe they're remaking Softporn, Larry's Pinball, the Laffer utilities, or Larry's Casino.

LSL1 IS a remake of Softporn though.

if the sales go good, and the hd looks nice for these games I wonder if they will try to get the licensing for the rest of the quest games. It would be nice to see king graham, or roger wilco in hd. But maybe thats just wishful thinking on my part.

"Should the re-make prove successful, the team is set to tackle the rest of the original series, games two-through-seven. Sadly, EGM has confirmed that the content for game four, Leisure Suite Larry 4: The Missing Floppies remains missing. However, Lowe won’t let that keep him from re-mastering it to Leisure Suite Larry 4: The Missing Digital Download HD."

And yes, they did use "Suite" both times in that paragraph (nowhere else in the article). Infer what you wish from that. But there also the better part:

"The remakes will feature upgraded visuals, sound and control, while retaining the games’ signature puzzles and sense of humor.

Also, look for original Larry games to appear at some point in the future, though Trowe and Lowe aren’t sure when they will get the rest of the team sober enough to actually do the coding."

hmm wonder what the pricing on this would be. I think a game like larry 1 really need to be remade as a plus and fleshed out a bit more if it is to be released commercially

They're looking for $500k funding For Larry 1. Now we know how much effort AGD/Tierra (and other remake teams) put in for every remake. Thanks again AGD

Flip it is looking pretty likely too. That is a lot of money pledged. Really makes me wonder if AGDI should reconsider a kick starter, that might make getting some rights very doable.

They've nearly hit the 500k target! Really looking forward to this game! I hope they port to iOS!
