I love Rehobeth Beach. I ate so much Grotto's Pizza the last time I was there. Wow. And yeah, plenty of Skee Ball.

Never been there. But I do have a funky beach story from when I went to this beach on Lake Michigan up in IL. We were swimming around in the murky-as-hell and extremely polluted water, filled with all that lovely radioactive gook that makes you grow gills and whatnot. Seriously, that is some majorly disgusting water, I swear I saw puke floating on top of it. But anyhow since I'm an idiot I went in the water with my glasses on (I didn't intend to go under) and had barely gone out with a couple other people when this monster wave comes by and smacks us all. Oop, my glasses fall off, I can't catch them in time, they're gone.

I was like "Oh crap."

Keep in mind that it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to see underwater in this freakin' beach, the water was just too murky. But then I found them again as I frantically moved around.

I found them with my FOOT.

They were kinda mashed afterwards though. :lol

Muzlak, then you don't deserve to live so close to the beach :p
Are there any other snorkelling maniacs out there?

yeah, i've heard that before. i've got a close friend who lives literally two blocks from the Pacific Ocean, and he's just like, meh. i can get that. it's kinda like i'm at the point where i don't get why people get worked up about mountains.

I live about 30 kilometres away from the beach, but I rarely go (easily sunburnt). As for snorkelling, I'm more of a scuba-diver myself (have my NAUI license to dive down to 18m (50ft), but I'll need to do a refresher course seeing as though I last dived about 7 years ago).

While in the Navy, I lived pretty close to the beach. I used to go quite a bit when I lived in South Carolina, but when I moved to Virginia I didn't go that often.

Something about being on a submarine in the middle of the ocean for weeks at a time... Go figure. ;)

Yeah, it really doesn't matter how cool something is, if you live right next to it and see it everyday, it's just not very exciting. I used to live about 10 minutes away from Disneyland for about 10 years. I think I maybe went there twice during that time.

Show me a good swing-set and I'll show you a person who can stay on there for a looooong time without getting bored.
