I am in PAIN ...

#1 Post by Steffi Evenstar » Wed Aug 18, 2004 9:02 pm

so, this morning, i was walking into one of the buildings on campus, when i tripped on a stone step. I stood up, thought, "Gee, that was embarrasing", and prepared to move on when I looked down and saw a large amount of blood coming out of my big toe.

I gashed it open pretty good, and had to go to the emergency room where I got 10 stitches. I am in a TON of pain right now. It doesn't feel good. If you're looking for something fun to do, cutting open a toe and getting stitches isn't the best idea.

Neither is cutting the palm of your hand with a blade from a piece of machinery. It didn't bleed though... more like a paper cut. Still really stings though.

I hope your foot gets to feeling better.

That reminds me of the time I lost my toenail... :|
It didn't hurt much, but it was an hmm... interesting sight...
But hang in there, Steffi, it will heal soon.

Geez, Steffi...... bummer.

I hope your foot feels better.

In honor of your wounding, I stepped on my own big toe repeatedly. It is now swollen, throbbing and in pain as well. I think I broke my toenail too.

Take pills.

Yeowtch, Steff. Get better soon.

If the pain gets too bad and you're not on any serious painkillers, you could always go with your classic staple of getting drunk to dull the pain... :lol

Just trying to bring a little humor to an unfortunate situation. :D

haha - thanks Braniac. :) when i was in the ER, being examined by one of the doctors, i was telling my friend Arielle (who is an angel for taking me there) that she would have to drive for me sometime soon, because i will need several drinks .. the nurse got a kick out of that.

You want pain, slip off the middle diving board and whack your head off it as you decend into a belly flop onto the water. My head was bleeding and my chest was really sore.

Oh yeah and it was the most humiliating thing ever. :cry

Well good luck getting a guy now Steff. Cuz we all know what the first thing a guy looks at when he meets a lady is. That's right, her toes!!! :p

Well, it's on the bottom of the toe. So as long as the they never see it, Steffi will be fine.

Of course, you better have some excuses ready if they want to give you a foot massage. :p

Doesn't kiss on the first date?!!?!?

Wow. What I won't do on the first date is a shorter list than Jodo Kast's credentials.

;) :lol :D ;)

No kiss on the first date? See, that's all I'll do on a first date. The one time I didn't, I wound up dating her for awhile and realized she wasn't worht it. The next gf -- who I dated for 15 months -- we took it REAL slow (physically) and hence, a pretty good relationship.

But not kissing on the first date is too slow.

i could kinda understand the not kissing thing - i was his first date ever (for obvious reasons, as i realized as the time went on), but the whole asking to rub my feet thing ... yeah. that made me want to run away screaming.

(and i know this thread has gone off topic, but i started it, so blah!) :P

See, I do anything on the first date. This one time, I even went as far on the first date as to sleep with the girl's SISTER....

:lol

Well just to strike a blow for prudes everywhere I'm just gonna stand up and say that I don't kiss on the first date and I know plenty of people with that same standard. So all of you slluts can just kiss my righteous little behind. :p

(Just not on the first date) ;)

Cool. Differen't strokes to rule the world. But lemme say this: if you make something verboten, you empower such an act that shouldn't have such a power. So by limiting it, your actually giving it a negative energy.
