A couple years ago, I had made an import character from QFG1VGA while waiting for KQ2VGA to come out. (Heh heh -- yeah, it's been that long!) I made a hybrid thief character and was able to get all my stats to 100.
... except for my Climbing Ability.
For some odd reason, I couldn't get it past 87 climb. I had probably spent a good hour or so climbing a certain tree (and resting), only to see the stat remain at 87.
Did anyone else have this kinda problem with QFG1VGA, and anyone know if it also occurs with Hero's Quest?

I think a good climbing practice spot is in the Brigands Fortress.

No no -- that's the thing. Everywhere I tried climbing, and no matter for how long, I always seemed to max out at 87 climb. I know the game was buggy -- but I'm just wondering if anyone else had that same problem.
Hrm... shoot, I wonder if I happened to put the save file in a CD or something...

You can max out the climb ability by climbing the cliff right outside the Brigand entrance,

Hrm... well then, I'll try it again, I guess. If I can find the save file again.
Thanks all for your help!

To expand on what everyone's saying, just keep climbing in and back out of the brigands fortress repeatedly and you'll eventually get 100 (maybe half-a-minute or so on the fastest setting and hammering the space and enter keys like a monkey on amphetamines).
