How Come?

#1 Post by nz_goat_213 » Tue Aug 24, 2004 2:11 am

Why doesnt/hasnt anyone decided to create anything similar to scummVM. But instead of running lucasart adventure games running sierra games agi/sci ones etc. Police quest all the way up to leisure suit larry 7 etc etc. It would be neat playing all the games again with good sound and with all the extra type features that scummvm has.

They are working on FreeSCI which has limited support on older EGA 16 colour Sierra games such as SQ3, KQ4, etc. Those two and a few others are finsihable from beginning to end. However the sound support isn't perfect. At least since I've heard of it.

Also, there is currently no pre-compiled win32 binary of FreeSCI, so you'll likely need to compile yourself or find an unofficial binary somewhere else.

For AGI, there are many different alternatives - I prefer NAGI, but there are many others, such as Sarien.
