To be completely trivial off topic......when playing 'Trivial Pursuit', do you call the triangular pieces 'cheeses', 'pies', maybe something else altogether?

Never played TP. Clue was always good enough for us.

Hmm... I don't think we had little wedge-shaped things. I think we had little colored cylindrical-type things. This was just 2 - 3 weeks ago, though the first time in ages, so I can't remember.

I'm gonna have to agree with BT and Gav on this and go with pie pieces too. At least that's what my family called them.

Go pie pieces!

When I think about it, wedges does sound the most appropriate, but pie pieces are just so irresistable.

Playing pieces for Trivial pursuit..

#12 Post by The Avatar » Thu Aug 26, 2004 3:30 pm

Well, Let me clear this up for you guys..

I and my family have played Trivial Pursuit regularly all our lives.. it's a childhood pasttime, as well as a game favorite that I'll play with my children some day.

Every single edition of Trivial Pursuit has the same names for these pieces..

the bases that you move around the board are called: "Pie Bases"

and the colorful pieces you place inside these bases are called: "Scoring Wedges" and that's how any real trivial pursuit player refers to them. :)

Glad I could clear this up for you.

Trivial Pursuit is a game of facts.. so, I suppose your interest in getting the facts about what the playing pieces are called reveals that you are indeed a REAL trivial pursuit player.. ;)
