Interesting rumour about possible future Sierra plans

Was checking the official Sierra boards recently and according to a mod in this thread, there are rumours going about with regards to releasing the original games as payable electronic downloads. The link is as follows:

It will be interesting if it is true, to say the least, in regards to fangame development (particularly as Sierra would definitely have to defend their copyrights more vigourously if they go ahead with what the rumour says). I think this will be of particular interest to AGDI and other Sierra fangame groups, as this could lead to cease-and-desist orders against them.

Interesting.

I certainly hope they'd use NewRisingSun's patches and pay him a little fee. It's the least thing they can do.

Heh. Very interesting. But still... that moderator's post is just as 'evasive' as your posts, Erpy.

Just a bit of information to get people interested.

Can't figure out from that post whether it's a 'passing thought' (to please the fans) or whether they are truelly considering it.
