I'm surprised you got it for so cheap Dungeons, I thought those old games were selling for something 40 or 50 bucks on ebay.

Congrats though.

If I'd have seen it, I'd have run the price up to at least 20 or 30 bucks... Lucky for you, huh? ;)

That reminds me of a dream I had about finding the KQ collection in a store. It was pretty cheap. Just as my brother was paying for it, I woke up. :(

That was a real life dream for me, one day I was at the shops near mine and there is a cheap shop called Xcess Music & Video which sell DVD's and music CD's and a little collection of PC Games.

Well one day I walked in and they had the Kings Quest Collection and the Space Quest Collection for £6.99 each!!! Thats like $10 US or something!!!!!

And just a few months ago I picked up another copy of Kings Quest Collection on ebay for £30 which is about $45 US I plan to hang onto that and sell it in future for much more lol!

What does it contain ? Is it the original sierra box ? Or a reproduction ?(call me Slash)

You should not pay more if the box contains only the cd.
If it contains manual and other printed material then you
had a very good deal.

yeah I know it always amuses me when shipping is more than the item itself.

but I don't care, I used to have KQ6 on disks, never had it on CD with voice, so I can't wait to get it.

It would only sell to the (realistically) minority of adventure gamers and wouldnt be worthwhile to VU plus they dont care about adventure games anymore :cry

To make a re-release of the old adventures viable, VU would likely have to go through each game, and fix the programming so that it would work on today's computers. It'd be great if they ever did this, but I don't think they'd see it as worth their time.

Thatr would be a great next project for AGDI after QFG2 and they could make profit off of it. Seeing as Ego said Lori herself was interested and she seems contactable the legal stuff could be done. I know i'd buy it along with the rest of us. infact i'd buy three one for me one for my friend and the other to make sweet sweet love 2. Imagine....four games....all VGA.....no bugs.....no glitches.....brand new QFG2........(Homer like drool noise)ahgahha

That will never happen. Even if Lori is interested, the decision is not hers to make. Lori does not own the rights to the games, Vivendi Universal does. So unless AGDI got official sanction from VU, they would never be able to make money off these games.

Technically, what they are doing now is violating the rights of VU. If they ever decided to shut it all down, they could in a heartbeat. Up until now, that hasn't happened. Since VU isn't really interested in these copyrights right now, they have silently allowed the projects to continue. But if ADGI were to suddenly start making money off VU's copyrights, it would all come to an end.

i'm sure the creator would have some convincing skills and it could there could even be a fifty fifty deal made or something of that nature. It is a big risk to losing everything but if they decide one last project before retiring from these games that would be grand. Also would it not be against copyrights to say "Please donate "10$" here and have it not required? or if the amount is paid they could get it on cd and if not it's still up for grabs.

I'm really just saying I would start to cry if such a miracle appeared before me and I don't expect it to happen infact the miracle would be so great to this community everything else would seem futile.......water into wine.....that sucks
