Any advice on getting rid of one of two wanted attentions?

I think you have one heck of a problem on your hands. The only advice I would give is that if you decide you want to be really serious about the one you choose then you will have to completely stop seeing the other one. I mean no phone calls, no visits, nothing !!

All relationship have there down times and the worst thing would be to still be 'good friends' with your second choice, as you would probably decide to hook with her when things got tough

In all honesty a relationship that has been started on dishonest grounds I don't give a huge chance of succeedng.

I went out to dinner with one of the two girls last night and was on the brink of telling her what had happened, and that I had decided to try and stay with the other girl. The dinner was excellent and very romantic, so we ended up having the best night ever and I completely forgot to tell her.

Is this a sign that I should go for her?

This reminds me of an episode of Fraser in which he was having the same problem. His brother, Niles, assigned each girl to the head of a coin and flipped it. Instead of revealing how it had landed, he looked at Fraser and said, "Admit it. You were hoping it would land on a certain side, weren't you?"

Actually, dude, if they live away from each other, why not just let it go on. Bag 'em both. If they're both awesome, and they both dig you, and they'll never find out, just run with it till it gets old.

Well, somehow that doesn't strike me as being completely right though. The reason I started this topic in the first place is because I wanted a solution to my problem, and not just talk about it some and then go on as I have.

Tonight I'm going to a theatre production of the Lion King with one of the girls, and hopefully break the news.

Yeah, me personally, I'd go for the dancer as well. They can do stuff with their bodies that you'd only dream about. And they're usually freakier than the jock-obsessed chick, who'll probably just be a boring run in the mud.
