Spikey's absence + songs

#1 Post by Spikey » Thu May 26, 2005 10:23 pm

Ohw...there I was promising you all to come around more often...but I totally neglected it.  :o

Well, anyways, here are some crappy 1-track recordings of this evening. Recorded with a crappy guitar, a crappy throat, a crappy microphone...you get the picture. But it's funny. Thanks to Vlad for exposing his ears to this noise. And to Navynuke as well for one of the songs.

Oh Jesus, I hate to nit-pick, but as a fellow musician, I must.

If you've moved a song from it's native instrument (ie PIANO) to another one (ie GUITAR) you haven't re-written anything.  It's called arrangement.

That said, you should quote yourself as "Music by Tori Amos - arranged by Spikey"

Anyhoo, on to the better stuff: WELCOME BACK!

And nice job!  Particularily the Gary Numan song.  I love the arrangement.  You should REALLY do yourself a favour and find the original, and listen to it.  You'd get a kick out of how your arrangement sounds compared to it!

Thanks for posting some music.

Good to see you again, Spikes; hope you hang around for a while.

I'll give your tunes a listen when I get the chance.
