I'm new here and need help please

This goes out to any one that could be so kind as to help me if can. I am currently new to the kings quest 1 vga and i am stuck at the well. i cut the rope to get the bucket now i can't figure out how to get down the well or what icon to use to do so. so if there is anyone that can help plz get back to me asap thanks....

[spoiler]Try lowering the rope and then climbing down it... Use the hand icon on the crank, and then the hand icon on the lowered rope.[/spoiler]

If you have the internet bro you should be able to get the answers to any question you could ever imagine just type away......
