The witch's house

I have read all the hints I can find but I can't seem to move quickly enought to keep the witch from killing me.  I am staying in the bedroom until she appears at her cauldron and then start walking over but she always sees me.  Help please, I have been trying to get past her for 2 days.

Try to get near the cupboard, then push her in. You have quite a reach.
