Well...Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is it just me or the game actually has no background music most of the time?
(Ambient sounds doesn't count as bgm)
In my computer, the scenes with music are :
Main menu
Random encounters
The tree with golden egg
The troll
The cave leading to the dragon
Beanstalk climbing
Land in the sky
The giant
The cave leading to the giant
The most strange case is when I'm diving in the well.
When I dive out to the upper left, the bgm changes, but if I go left to the dragon then come back, there's no bgm!
I'm asking this because I'm not sure if the game is running properly on my computer...
Don't worry, if it's indeed a technical issue(Well, I'm not sure!), I know I should go to the other forum instead.
And so..if anyone can answer me, I'd be appreciated.
No bgm most of the time?

There most certainly should be background music in all of those scenes.
Could you make sure that the music.vox file is in your game directory. Run the winsetup.exe (or just click on the "Settings" button from the launcher menu) and make sure that the "Use digital music pack if available" setting is checked.
Also ensure that when you open the Options Menu in-game, that the "music" slider bar is set up near the top.
Digital speech is working in-game for you, right? And what kind of sound card do you have in your system. Maybe you can also try installing the latest version of Direct X to see if that helps.

I think he is saying that all those scenes have background music, but the rest of the game remains silent (except for some background sounds). It's a guess, but I also felt weird that some rooms had no music. Still, I thought they were done that way on purpose.

Oh, right.
Yes, not every room in the game has background music. The KQI remake only contains background music in the same rooms where the EGA games had it.

I was wondering that myself, thank you.
