Condor and Giant

I Played all of the Kings Quest and Leisure Suit Larry Games when they first came out.
Thanks for the remake.
In playing KQ1 remake 4 I can not find the Condor. I think he is near the Cave. I have not seen him all game.
I can not also find the Good Witch with the spell for the Giant. Nor can I find the Slingshot to kill the giant

The slingshot is in Cloudland, hidden in one of the trees there. The Fairy Godmother is somewhere near the carrot garden. The condor only appears if you have already obtained both the mirror and the chest.

O.K. but where do I stand at in order to catch the eagle or Condor went it appears? I keep missing him when he comes by well swoops by.
