What Easter Eggs have you found in the game?

Hi everybody! Since there will be several easter eggs in the VGA remake that were not found in the original game, I'd like to dedicate a post to the easter eggs that you find. Let us know what you run into while playing the King's Quest 1 VGA remake! Anonymous Game Developer #1

Hi...

I found an easter egg.

When clicking the note (found in the witch house) on Sir Graham he sometimes says that the note reads: "All your base are belong to us."

For those, who doesn't know...
It's a translation error from an old video game called Zero Wing. Probably the most popular translation error in the history of computer gaming!

There are..hmmmmm ... 5 easter eggs,I think.. and Leif has already found one of the easier ones! Some of the easter eggs are based on random encounters, and are very rare. But see if you can find them all!

Hi... I don't remember if it was possible to kill the goat in the AGI and SCI-versions... Fact is, using the dagger on the goat, then you kill it! /Leif

Scid: yeah, that's another of the easier Easter eggs to find.

I think it's more of an easter egg when you experience it the voice pack though.

Frogman: Check out the link that Leif provided. Basically, "All your base are belong to us" is a really bad English Translation of a Japanese sega game. Someone made an animated gif of the intro scene from the game "Zero Wing" which showed just how bad (and funny) the translation to English really was. The joke grew and grew and went viral, and pretty soon it was all over the internet. This weird trend emerged where people took the phrase "All your base are belong to us" and started incorpoating it into real life photographs, pictures and stuff! Putting it on the witches note was our contribution.

It used to be considered "cool".. but it's not cool anymore.. hehehe Well, it was at least considered "semi-cool", at the time of putting the joke in the game.

I was sure I wasn't going to be one of the ppl to find one but I was!! YAY!!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> anyways on the screen with the little waterfall I looked at the yellowish rock by the tree and it said "That's strange...you don't remember this rock being here in the EGA version!" on the screen with the stump you find the diamonds in, look at the bush in the center of the screen. It says "You've found a bush, but there isn't a quail in this game" <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> I found it humorous, but if it's not an easter egg feel free to call me a dork!

Yeah, you could kill the goat in any version. A rather sadistic friend pointed it out to me many years ago.

From memory, there's about 3 more undiscovered easter eggs left. One is only available with the voice pack (no, it's not the one where Graham says "I wish I had an owl to keep me company"). Another is very rare and I'm not suprised that nobody has seen it yet. It only has a 1 in 100 chance of happening randomly when you do a specific thing in the game. I don't want to give any more clues to this one though, because we want to see how long it takes before someone witnesses it without any clues! The last one involves the invisible ring!

i know of one that was in the remake (maybe in the original) and in this one. In the witches house- if you look at the smoke coming from the pot a little monters apears and you say "was that....nah, it couldn't be!" Another thing i wanna mention is GRAHAM WONT DO THE OWL THING! The owl comment has a 1 in 15 chance of happening every time you click the talk icon on yourself. Just keep clicking and it's bound to happen sooner or later.

It's not a random easter egg.. it's a definate one, that can only happen when you do something, but are invisible at the time..
