Where's the slingshot???

OK, in the original game you killed the giant with a slingshot and stones ala David & Goliath. The slingshot was located in a hole in the screen south from the cave leading back down. It's not there! Where is it? It MUST be there!<br>And how am I supposed to deal with the giant? In the original version I could also behind the southern tree and the giant wouldn't find me and fall asleep. Here it doesn't work either. <p></p><i></i>

It is in a hole at the bottom of the rightmost tree in the very southeast screen of that area.
