Goat lost for good?

If I was so dumb as to accidentally eat the carrot instead of giving it to the goat (had a brain lapse and clicked the carrot on myself in order to use it instead of clicking it on the goat), is there any way to get the goat back after he escaped? I've been through every scene and I can't find him! <p></p><i></i>

Unfortunately, no. Once the goat leaves, he's gone for good. There is another way around the puzzle where the goat is used, however, so all is not lost.<br><br>Edit: 38 minutes without a response and BAM! Speaking of that goat, I've always wondered where he runs off to when you're done with him. Does he even stay in Daventry, or does he go off to another land?
I think I might be smelling an entire new series in the making...Goat's Quest!

If the goat runs off in the game, they should have him in the throne room at the end. That'd tie up all the loose ends.
