I need help. Everytime I'm in cloud land my game crashes. After I get off the beanstalk I go 2 screens East, 1 Screen South, and 1 screen East. As soon as I enter the the next screen East I get an error message. Says something to the effect of "Character not present, contact author of the game. The interpreter is not responsible." Please help me.

It's a known bug in the game. It happens when you enter that screen with the protective spell active. I suggest taking advantage of the presence of the spell while you're here and visit that screen after it (and hopefully someone else) is worn out.
