Hey There Vamp and Angelus, I've followed this thread from the beginning and I must say it's been quite a thing to follow the pain, anxiety and pure joy you guys have been experiencing in these past months.
I am certainly not the first (but I also hope to not be the last) person to say congratulations to you both on all the wonderful things that are happening right now.

And might I make a small suggestion...

Have you thought of printing out this thread to have as a keepsake of the time of your prenancy? There certainly is a lot of meaningful stuff recorded here that you both might want to look back on (and maybe even Junior might want to see) many years from now.

Just a suggestion

Heh, it's funny that I choose to come back around now and see this thread. I actually just recently was going to possibly be a father myself. It was scary, mind-numbing, and yet strangely exciting. When the news came back that my girl wasn't pregnant, I was actually more disappointed than I was relieved, if you can believe it. Heh, guess there's all the time in the world for that, though...

Ethan sounds like a good name. A strong name. It should serve him well. Katherine is equally as strong. If you'll remember, a certain shrew once was named Katherine...

You guys stay strong and have a good time. Whenever you feel low or anxious or nervous about anything regarding this whole thing, just remember that we're all with you 100% and we're thinking about you guys. You two are gonna be great. Take care!

Hey guys,

Only 4 - 5 weeks to go. I am so nervous and unsure about things. I guess its just naturall but I'm always wondering if I made the right decision. I mean I know I did but I can't help wondering, I feel guilty about it as well.

I'm just anxious and scared that I won't be good or strong enough to do this.

I could never have gone through not having it and I'm glad I didn't I'm just confused and worried that Its all going to be too much. I guess I just need a big reassurance :\

Sorry to probably put all you guys down. I just needed to get it off my chest. I hope everything goes ok and that I can cope and made the right decision, which in my heart I know I did.

I'd be surprised (or even worried) if you were'nt nervous...
I'm wondering if you're "nesting" at the moment. Most of my friends were at the end of pregnancy. In fact, a few days before my wedding, I thoroughly cleaned all my kitchen cabinets and rearranged the spices by families and size. I assure you it's NOT the kind of thing I do on a regular basis :p
Have you got a name yet, or are you waiting to see the baby first and decide what fits the face best?
Gee, I envy you (my husband and I have agreed that I must move o with my MA first, and only when I'm about halfway through the thesis we'll get pregnant. I'm still stuck with the bloody seminar papers).

Vamp,

You totally made the right decision. If you teach that child everything you know, and some, it'll grow up to be a helluva human being. And that's the most important thing.

You can do it, for sure! We're all pulling for you.

Bringing Up Baby

#172 Post by The Avatar » Thu Sep 16, 2004 5:00 pm

This reminds me of a movie I just watched last night.. Bringing up Baby.. It's a funny story starring Carey Grant and Katherine Hepburn. You should watch it! It's so much fun.

Sometimes life seems so full and vibrant that you're not sure if you can have some stability, but that's just a part of living. You're making choices every day, and as long as they come from the heart, they are the right choices. You are a good person, and a great mother. Never doubt that ;)

Pregnancy hormones can do strange things to people. Just keep in mind we'll be behind you 100% when the big moment comes. (in spirit, of course)
