Help with library!

Hello! I was wondering whether anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I can't seem to show my membership card to the librarian. I've already signed it but when I click on the librarian it keeps saying that there is nothing to insert it in. Why won't the librarian see my card? So I cant seem to read any books. Have already talked to the Door of Destiny.

Sorry - have one more question - to whom do I show the paper which is found after visiting the door of destiny?

Are you clicking the hotspot of the library card (the small colored dot) on the librarian? Make sure to do so.

The flier CAN be given to the merchant outside, but it's an optional thing to do. It's not used for anything else.

Many thanks for replying so quickly!!!

Will try this and see if it works after I hopefully get back on land - I have now just gone underwater. Was not paying attention to the hotspots before - now I will!

Playing this game makes me happy haha :)
