i need to open the shell door but it wont let me off my hors

i need to open the shell door but it wont let me off my hors

i try to get off and it says that there is not enough light to dismount i try using my sword as it says in erpys walkthrough guide but it says iam not close enough so what do i do and yes i have the light up fish

Try getting as close as you can to the door while on your mount before you use your sword.
