Stuck in library!

Ok, I am in the library in the castle with Anastacia. I talk to the bookcase that growls back. I have clicked all over that thing but NOTHING happens??? Am I doing something wrong??? HELP!!!

Ok, me again...after reading other posts, I read the black book. But now, after talking to Anastacia, every time I touch the Cinderalla book, the MAWS eat me? Is there a secret that I am missing?

You've probably been reading ahead.

You first should talk to Anastasia as often as possible, until she gives you the book, lets you read it to her (talk to her after you've read it yourself) and knocks on the bookcase herself. At that point you should be able to click the hand on the bookcase to enter the closeup scene.

Make sure to click on the right book...aim the colored dot on the hand cursor at the right book.
