Help with the church cemetary

I keep getting killed at the grave of the tombstone where the tiara has been buried. What do I need to do?

Maybe you forgot to visit some place before, like the tombstone on the vampire's lair. I don't remember the details, but I recall that I also got killed for trying to take a shortcut in that puzzle.

Do I have enough time to maybe dart back to the Count's castle, or have I met a dead end?

[DrJones]

There is a timer, yes, but I had plenty of time to return to the Count's castle after the incident. It depends in how much time has passed in your game.

I actually got through it. I had to make like Sonic The Hedgehog, and bolt back to the Count's cemetary and back. But, I made it without the Count landing the deadline down on me.
