How can I escape the Sharkees and seal the cave without dying?

The means to seal the cave will present itself when it's time to do the sealing.

What I mean is that I've cameout of the hideout of the sharkees the seahorse followed me I've climbed on and off I went then it as me to try to out run the Sharkees and watchout for the rocks on the way. I've tryed and got ate up then, then I've tried the other way just to leave and got out the cave but still got ate up how can I out run the sharkees without getting ate up and stop them from following me?

After escaping on the seahorse and clearing the rocks, use the trident on the illusionary rock wall to turn it solid.
