Your monitor might be too dark to see that you are stepping on poisoned water. You need to find a map to go through the magic maze without getting lost, too.

The swamp is a bunch of random images randomly generated every time you start a new game. A map is pointless. But directions through the swamp will present themselves at the appropriate time (you can't get them at just any moment in the game, only when you actually have to go through the swamp).

Also, following the letters (make sure you start at the correct screen...the first one is always south because the first screen always leads west out of the swamp and south into the rest of the swamp) makes you end up just south of the castle...you can see it to the north but depending on your monitor settings it may not be obvious at first.

It's random (well somewhat random), but you should start following directions in the screen east of the swamp entrance screen with the buzzing insects near the tree. If you follow the directions, you'll reach a swamp screen where the castle is vaguely visible far to the north.

Read the bible page again, the narrator will say ''You read the bible page again:'',and every word starts with N,S,W,E which means North,South,West and East,so you follow those letters in the correct order.
