Maybe something from your inventory might help you get past the snake...

<td nowrap style=filter:glow(color="mintcream", strength=#+15)> Lira Lindriel - - - - - - - Magic is real - unless defined integer!

Backyard Discussions ~x~ Lira's Duchy ~x~ My poems, stories and tags

There are no flutes in the game, but flutes are hardly ever used to mesmerize someone anyway. You should currently have something better. Something stunning...

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

A possible solution

#5 Post by dreammaster » Sun Jan 05, 2003 6:59 am

One minor problem I noticed with this puzzle is that you need to be careful about the hotspot when you click an item on the snake - get it slightly wrong, and it will give you a "doesn't work" message (it presumes you're clicking the item on the ground), even if you are in fact using the right item.

I ran afoul of this the first time I played through. It was only because I'd clicked the particular item on myself and knew it's effect, that I was sure that it was the right item - and repeatedly clicked until I got the hotspot right.

Help...

#6 Post by BobbyOliver » Sun Jan 05, 2003 11:27 am

I'm really stuck and don't have any patience left. If someone can give me a hint on where to go next I'd really appreciate it... I have the birth gem, sword, fence post, mallet, necklace, brooch, flower, cloth, earrings, unlit candle, needle, library card... I just finished doing the pumpkin thing. I'm just not sure where I should be focusing my attention next... the witch's cave (that I haven't been in yet), the dwarf and his house in the tree, or some snake on a mountain that I keep reading about??? HELP PLEASE

What to do next

After completing the birth gem quest, the antique shop will now be open, so you can go in there. There you'll get the next quest you should focus on.

Still need help...

#8 Post by BobbyOliver » Sun Jan 05, 2003 12:15 pm

Thanks for getting back to me so fast... I've been into the antique shop and now I'm trying to get into the witch's cave. I turned one of the skulls but can't figure out what to do with the other one... I've tried using everything I have.

Need one more hint...

#13 Post by BobbyOliver » Sun Jan 12, 2003 4:53 am

I'm finding myself stuck again but I think it's because I don't have everything I should... I read through this site and realized most people have a fishing net and feather by now. I don't... any suggestions on where/how I can get these, without giving it away completely???

Where would the best fishing spot in Kolyma be? Look there.

I've checked out the pier a million times... I'm obviously not getting it. I guess I need a bigger hint.

You are nearly there. Try looking in the water.

<td nowrap style=filter:glow(color="mintcream", strength=#+15)> Lira Lindriel - - - - - - - Magic is real - unless defined integer!

Backyard Discussions ~x~ Lira's Duchy ~x~ My poems, stories and tags

Fire???

#19 Post by BobbyOliver » Sun Jan 12, 2003 11:30 am

Okay I thought I was on a roll but I'm stuck again. I just need to know whether I should be looking for fire to light my candle with or whether I need to make it myself - like with two sticks or something (I'm trying to heat my ingredients). I'll appreciate any hints.

If you click the eye on the candle, it'll say there's already flint. So you just need the other part...

I don't know much about fire, but if you hit two piece of metal together, sometimes you get sparks..

Thanks for the help tonight... Once I made the emerald everything else tonight just came together... For someone new to these games I would have to say the most helpful thing I've read in these 'tips' is to go through the items trying to use them on eachother!!! Big help...
