Well, the Sharkees are trying to chase you out the secret rear entrance, right? Well, what if that entrance...stopped being an entrance... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

~Wolfgang

Heh, if you feel sorry, try to assign a minimum amount of time to spend on a puzzle. (say, half an hour to 45 minutes)

As for the trident-deal, the trident can change the form of things. And it's not limited to living things. It also works on "scenery".

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashs ...

Hehe...maybe you should try Erpy's suggestion and allow yourself at least a half hour on a puzzle before you consider yourself stumped and ask for help. It might save you the trouble of typing a lot since you eventually seem to figure it out yourself anyway.

But...with regards to the Birth Gem/black bat question, obviously the Gem is facing the wrong way. Maybe you could try pointing it at the bat instead?

~Wolfgang

Hagatha's cave is a timed event, I believe. If you either walk in her line-of-sight or if you stay in her cave too long, she'll spot you. Unfortunately, if you've saved it just before you get caught, you may be stuck. Hopefully you have more than one save game and one of them is just before you entered Hagatha's cave. If not, you may have to do a bit of backtracking. Sorry!

~Wolfgang

It's always a good idea when playing games of this type to save under different names. That way, if you make a mistake, you can just load one of your other games instead of having to start all over. The good news is that it doesn't take near as long to play this game once you know the answers to the puzzles. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> (Or is that bad news for people who have played already?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... rassed.gif ALT=":o"> )

a couple dozen minutes ago... I would not have appreciated that at all <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> but either I'm in a forgiving mood, or have just done the quest over again (from where i was at least) and gotten the nightingale back to Angeline, because I'm going to do that more often. (even tho confusion will reign in my mind... Graham1, Graham2, Graham3... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> )

oh well, thanks for the advice!

cheers! this time for rl.
