About the bridge..... *possible spoilers*

Shouldn't it break after a certain amount of times walking across it? I know it definitely did in the original, I'm just wondering how that works in this version. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game. I'm just a bit confused. Also, in the original version, you got a certain amount of points each time you crossed it, here, I'm not. This is one of the (many) nice things the AGDs did in the remake. There is no longer a limited number of times you can cross the bridge. You no longer get points for doing it, though, but you also don't get stuck by crossing it too many times too soon.
