Well you know that it's going to be alright
I think it's gonna be alright
Everything will always be alright

I'm joking by the way. Stay clam.

You should have read the prize info, LP. There are TWO grand prizes. You'll have to submit another winning picture before telling everyone not to bother. :p

Remember everyone, it's not so much the technical skill that we're looking at, we're looking for really out-there, fun, creative examples... sort of like the Graduation Certificate photos, when it comes to entries. Drawings are only one of the types of entries accepted. As Abdulla pointed out, we are looking for anything your creative minds can dream up! Remember, the Quest for Glory universe is full of wacky things to be inspired by. Being talented like Lady Pyro certainly doesn't hurt, but we KNOW there are plenty of creative people on this forum with other talents. Go nuts.

And we have a LOT of stuff to give away. Don't be shy. Have fun and there's a good chance you will win something.

enjoy yourselves!

Naw I'll just submit it twice. :P

Edit: I really am just joking by the way. I'm not looking to scare anyone off entering. There's a lot of talented people on this board with way funnier jokes and concepts then I could ever come up with. Coupled with the fact that I'm still not sure if I'm entering or not (see previous post on page 9). Good luck everyone!

If you have a creative Quest for Glory entry related to "cooking" somehow that is totally acceptable. ;) Just be sure to photograph the entry clearly and send it in on the contest page. Yum!

Just wanna say Kotskoets, I LOVE your piece of art, there's so much character in that sketch it's brilliant.
And the coloured version looks sweeeet.

Yeah - no offense to Lady Pyro - I love her art work, but I always sort of imagined my hero as being a bad ass mofo rather than what she has done with him! :rollin

(LP - I DO really like your work and want to see more!)

Shall I enter some 10 year old sketches, or draw new ones?? Dug up some old stuff (instead of sleeping) and was able to surprise myself. Drew this one a long time ago, and I think I was trying facial expressions or something. Anyway, none of those old sketches are suitable for entering a contest or anything, really. :(

Right im pretty pleased with this one.
:)

Dave

P.S. Yeah I know what you mean, but i personally like the different impressions of him that the artists around here are making, which ranges from ugly mofos to flower-sniffing fairies.
P.S.S (cos it just got posted yeah?) I love the sketches spikey, your collage there almost looks like the beginning development stages of a quest for glory 2 poster.
I really think you should put it in for the contest, it may not be refined but it is artistic and high quality

I've never thought of him as really looking like that ridiculous monstrosity though. I just like drawing seemingly innocent things like that. Done it with a few other video game characters before as well.

Oh and Spikey how old were you when you drew that picture it looks rad.

Solarkid, I really like your interpretation of the wizard; especially the colour scheme is perfect.

And thanks for the compliment; I think I may attempt a brand new collage based on one of my old ones, it should only take 30 minutes or so. I guess that one was really meant as a sketch for a poster; alternate versions have texts like 'What are you waiting for?!' and 'Let it burn - Trial by Fire' on it, and others even Iblis rising behind Ad Avis. - Must have been 11 or 12 years old, or something like that.

Wait, What? A-are you saying you don't like my art??? That you hate ME?? Well I suppose the only rational thing to do is never post anything again, throw my desk out onto the street and light the whole thing on fire all the while robbing a bank.

:P

No offense taken of course. I'm actually surprised that my work has been fairly well received considering how much I hate some of the stuff I've posted. You guys do know you're allowed to not like stuff right? Criticism isn't the equivalent of a banishing spell.

I actually did a few pieces a while back when we were discussing our Heroes and the back stories we'd created for them, because it reminded me how much we can all look at the same thing and see something different.
For the most part I draw the hero the way I see him. Thief is my favorite class so rippling biceps don't really factor in, but when I started drawing other people's versions of the hero some of the fighters became towering hulks of human flesh.
I didn't post them mostly because I was afraid people might be offended for how I saw their Hero. And you should all consider yourselves very lucky, this is one of the few places in all the world (virtual and real) that I actually try NOT to offend people on a regular bases.
I know, I spoil you guys.

Also:
Spikey, Excellent Job! If that's ten years old I can't wait to see what you can do now!
Kotskoets, I'd love to see more.
Solarkid, Fantastic, I love the glowing effect.
ElDoDo, Thanks! And I can't wait to see what you can do with cooking!

No drawing tonight though. I went for a walk and forgot I was pretty much albino. Who knew sunstroke made you feel so damned cold.

I am seeing some really beautiful artwork on here. And I archive it ALL. But, again, please be sure to email your entry using the actual contest page link so a copy is sent to the contest box.

It's amazing seeing everyone's own interpretation of Quest for Glory. I am curious what a food-related entry would look like. ;P

I would really prefer to look at all of your drawings! In the meantime, maybe I'll draw something from Quest for Glory 1, my favourite of the series.

Good old Hero's Quest eh? Yeah I agree on that. The official remake of it was a bit whack though. Erasmus' house used to be so lovely and all of a sudden its some weird stalagmite cave carved out of purple snot.

Yo Here's the other one.
Yeah, quest for glory 1 is my favourite too :)

I just loved the fact that you were brand new as a hero and had to be so careful not to die because you weren't already a fully-buffed mofo.

beautiful and "solar" coloured as always. Vibrant and energetic. Love them. I'm curious what some of your own drawings/creations look like? :) You certainly have talent.

I would really like to see a full "box collage" style drawing from Spikey.
