Aww thank you :) honestly any skills I might have are all thanks to you and the kind members of the forums.

I must admit, i rather cheekily made a version that was uncensored while i was colouring, it was reasonably easy to do because i was really just connecting the lines.
I love your winning entry Lady, it captures the different kinds of hero so well, a real action shot. It's something i love about All of your drawings, the perspective is just perfect everytime. Its interesting because i find that makes them so easy to colour as well, you've kinda already chosen the colours i'll use because of the moods created.
Also Laura that looks amazing! The atmosphere is portrayed so strongly it's lovely!
I really like the grain effect on the table too it might sound like a small thing to like so much but i just think that kind of thing attributed to the overall effect so well, i noticed similar things with your hair on the hero in your first picture on these forums, great stuff.

Okay the perspective thing blows my mind. I had decided it would take to long to figure out proper perspective on that thing and just eyed the whole thing out. The fact that I'm getting compliments on it leaves me speechless.
And I think it's so cool that you can see the colours in these, because I am TERRIBLE at colouring. My sister teases me and calls me 'pigment impaired' :P
You guys have really been too kind to me and my silly drawings. I wish I had more to offer up (the only other thing that I have that's even vaguely QFG if the picture I want to use for my profile page if the School for Heroes offers up that option and holds my interest long enough). I guess I'll have to get back to the drawing board (literally), Hopefully I'll be able to find both the time and the inspiration.
Also: Lol at redrawing nipples. I hope that's what everyone secretly did :P

Oh I plan too. Unfortunately I had to cancel my plans (all of them save going out tonight) this weekend to pick up other people's slack (and money so hey, it kinda works out). I'm pissed about it but do not fear! More shall come.
Eventually.
Blame my boss, he's a dick no one wants to work for so they keep quitting. The conversation pretty much went like this:
"Kay I'm done."
"Wait, do you want some extra?"
"Okay I guess, when's the deadline?"
"Now, but see if you can finish it up over the weekend."
And I'm freelancing so I can't even tool around the studio like we used to when we had to work weekends-
Okay I'm getting off topic. If I keep up I'm going to have to move to random rants lol.

P.S: I had the bright idea to screencap the scene I was working on and badly MS paint them to look Quest for Glory related but realized I can get in a alot of trouble for posting things from unaired shows. Sorry!

Demand Answered!
Worked screwed me over today so I had a bit of free time. But no photoshop so you get just a straight scan. Enjoy!

Image

I know, in QFG4 the sparkley wraith stones were huge, but pretend a bit chipped off and rolled into another screen where our Hero found it. Sorry for how weird he looks, I spent most of my time making the Wraith, even though it looks more like he's been attacked by malicious ribbons then a ghostly apparition.
Oh Well.

Actually, when I look at it, I kind of get a vibe of QfG2. Think of the stone as that which Iblis is imprisoned within and The Hero has picked it up (right before Addy pops in, of course).

Hmm, i just realised i gave him qfg2 colours.
Okay, lets assume the hero chose dark one in the WIT and SOMEHOW managed to find his way out of the swamp. He then begins his doom when he picks up a strange looking wraith stone.

Here's my colouring :)

Brainiac, Solar, I accept your explanations and they are now the socially accepted norm. Any who refuse to conform or comply shall forth with be mocked openly and with gusto.
Also Solar, another masterpiece! :: high fives ::

We seem to be the only ones who care about this thread now :(
Come on people! We can still have art even without a contest! :)

Hmm It's true. There's really only one solution here: This thread must secede! We shall become the Sovereign Nation of the Leaded Heel, ruled benevolent-ishly by the Bearer of the Endless Pen! And until they are found, I shall reign over our kingdom with an Iron Fist! BWAHAHAHA-
Actually if we just got that guy who paints the game scenes who hangs out in the general forum to post here we could probably generate interest again. But he seems pretty comfy out there so looks like it's just us for now.

P.S: Don't mind me, I've been working pretty non-stop and broke my brain.

If you were a winner in the Quest for Glory II contest, you will be receiving your prize packages in the next week or two. Please allow a bit longer for international shipments. We originally stated that packages would be shipped in November. Shipments were delayed over the holidays - the second batch has gone out and they're on their way to you! All other shipments went out in late December.

Congratulations to the winners.

In the meantime, I won another contest and none of the prizes have arrived yet, so I bought Al Emmo on the King's day. I take bets about which one arrives last. :lol

My only concern would be if my country's awful poststamp service gets the poster stuck on the toll zone, as the only person that can take a look at the package is the sender. I'll inform if I receive it on the next weeks. :D

Hey Dr Jones, I sent you an email regarding that, just wondering did you ever receive it?

Yes, I received it and tried to contact the poststamp service, but they replied telling me I couldn't do anything without a number that is given to the sender (to track back the status of the shipment). I'll have to wait more. :p

Good news is that today I got reply from the bank telling me the paypal transaction went smooth. It's a very small quantity, but I hope it helps a bit.

glad to hear it Eriq. was going to make a post just in case my parcel had been sent already and my somewhat lousy postal service were holding my parcel.. just forgot to send me a delivery slip. (yes, it has happened before... last time with presents over christmas :P)

Being the sad collecter that I am, I already have the poster I got with my al emmo game, but that one is staying inside it's cardboard tube... when I get this one I'm thinking some sort of dark wooden frame :P

78% on the new KQ1 remake download, looking forward to see the changes :D

I forgot to say it, but I finally received my prize, and is fantabulous! I now have the poster on my wall and I'm eager to play the Anthology! :D
Before QFGIIVGA, I had only played the first and the third on the series as these were the only ones that arrived to my country, now I'll be able to enjoy the series in its entirety!* Well, once I'm done with the remake of King's Quest II. The original game box of Quest for Glory II EGA is also awesome! It also comes with a big map and the adventurers guide, and a Sierra catalogue up to 1989 (heh!), but the better of it, it's the original concept art signed by Chris Warren and Eriq Chang! That's more than what I could dream!

My mother also loved the big box where the prizes came, she has used it to store a lot of books that she wanted to give to a charity. She told me to thank you for it!

If you ever became short of an animator/artist/coder/translator/beta tester/writer/narrator/coffee machine to finish a game, you only need to ask. ;)

Thanks, AGDI! :D

*Not taking into account the fifth game, that's it.

Ah, good to hear you got your prizes, Dr Jones! Which drawing of mine did you end up getting... Ad Avis vs. the Hero or the scorpion fight?

Oh, and you'll want to remember to install the Belzorash patches before playing any of the anthology games too (especially for QFG4), lest you discover why Error52 has been driving all of us crazy for the past decade! Save your sanity here:

I got the drawing of Ad Avis, which luckily also was the one I liked the most.

And thanks for the patches! For some reason, I think I can live without experiencing Quest For Glory IV exactly as it was published. :rollin

I loved viewing this work guys, it was really awesome. I would also like to see what the poster looked like if anyone has the means of posting it... even if only a poor jpg image photo of the poster on the wall.

To Lady Pyro: what can I say? - I love breasts. As a climber I also appreciate muscles. I love confusing the traditionally offended by juxtaposing nudity with non-traditional archetypes (i.e. athletic and strong women).

Glad to hear you had a good time playing the game.

You can see an image of the QFG2 poster on the QFG2 site's feature page here:
