More updates? Can't wait.

I remember seeing Ads for Space Quest III in a computing magazine in my local library, circa early 1989 and getting excited. THIS is much like that.

It's indeed a rare gift that we can experience the coming of a brand new Sierra adventure (or indeed a new good adventure at all!) again like the old days. Especially when we KNOW it's going to be good. I treasure it dearly.

Are we allowed to donate to AGDI? And by that, I mean, would it be legal for us to donate $20.00 to you sometime after we download QFG2VGA? Or would that still count as paying for the game?

AGDI 2 is Chris. You just gave away his identity.

Even if that's true... where on EARTH did that come from? Not the name, but the post itself?

No, we're not allowed to take donations for the game.

That's just it... could we donate aside from the game? In other words, I want to donate to AGDI just because. If I happened to make my donation after downloading the game, would it still count as being 'for the game'?

Oy, not sure if that makes any sense, and I know this is all off-topic, so, to get back on topic...
I believe that while an update would be lovely, the person doing the update is probably in desperate need of sleep. :P Or at least, I would be if I was in his shoes.

nothing wrong with being old mate.

I was born in 74, and got to experience Sierra in their prime. I purchased every single quest game sierra made. And some others.

Hahah. Yep. I was eleven when you were born.

It was a good time for computer gaming.

Gaming in the 80s was definitely a good era, however, I do feel 'eras' can be rather subjective at times.

Even though I was born in '86, I started gaming at an extremely young age (mainly on the PC, and C64 and Coleco Vision consoles) and made sure I had played a good portion of older games.

It's kind of like reading classic books in a way... nothing could replicate authors like Isaac Asimov or George Orwell; likewise nothing can replicate a lot of classic games... you just have to have experienced them yourself, and if it has helped shape your life as you were growing up, then all the better (and you'll remember it more fondly like this too).

In more modern times, I sometimes feel sorry for younger people being inundated with mainstream crap -- which not always is bad -- but sometimes blocks off other types of games that might 'improve' their childhood like they have with a lot of ours. I don't know about you, but gaming taught me a lot more than anything or anyone else did, mainly about ethics, creativity, logic, and applying it all by yourself (individuality). In the past year the only game I've played that I'd rate 'special' would be Bioshock, and primarily only for the storyline.

I ask most of the people I hang out with, and only three of the people I know have played adventure games, though two of them are working (sometimes) on one with me. The sad thing is that one of them seems to believe that it needs to be 1024x768 resolution and 3D. Argh.

I feel it in my bones that it will be out within the next week. That's largely because I rerouted my thinking capablity from my brain to my bones for the time being since my brain seems to have a caffine problem. :p

Till next time stay cool

Whenever it comes out it will be worth it AGDI just keeps getting better and better. I love your new site logo.
Also I was wondering if anybody has any hints on your next original IP. Will you be using a completely new game GUI or will be another Sierra-style game?

What's a Street fighter? haha jk. I think my first PC game was reader rabbit. I do remember sitting down with my parents to play games like Myst and the 11th hour. PC adventure games were always a family thing. Games nowadays are so straightforward that its boring to just watch someone play.
