I have the exact opposite situation. agdinteractive.com works and it errors with www :\

Edit: Seems to be a cache problem. Clearing out your browser cache will resolve the issue.
Well that did it for me.

Greetings!

A quick note about the site:
We've updated our site with some new technologies behind the scenes. If you've visited the site in the past few weeks, you may have an old "cached" copy in in your browser history. Be sure to "empty your browser cache. (usually in the settings/preferences panel) Please be aware that we are also in the midst of a server transition. Though it has not occurred yet, different people may be seeing different versions of pages as things are moved over and pointed to the new location. In theory, things SHOULD be invisible to you guys. If you are still experiencing issues, please feel free to private message me to tell me what's going on. (A screen capture would be helpful.)

We recommend you are running the latest version of your favourite browser to experience the sites - pages have been optimized for a 1024x768 resolution setting and above - the higher the better. You may notice extra details in the background landscapes and textures when viewing at a high resolution.

Eric, one suggestion for the new website: please include a button or toggle to mute the music. I often "check in" on AGDI at work, and while I love the QFG2 music, my coworkers (and boss) do not. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the redesign!

That seems like a silly request. :) Can't you just mute the volume on your work computer?

Yea I'm at work right now and just lower the volume when I check the site.

I'm sure Eriq could do it but he's such a busy guy his talent is probably best spent elsewhere or at least taking a break from his awesome work.

Remember with great artistic skills comes great ...uh... responisibilty!

Yes, yes, I could just turn down the volume on my speakers. I just have this...thing...against websites (any website) that make me listen to music or sound effects without giving me the option to mute it. Perhaps this is a better scenario: even at home, I often have music playing in the background while I surf the web. I shouldn't have to turn down the volume on my entire computer just to mute out one website. Does that make more sense?

I'm for adding a mute button actually. Most sites with flash and background music have them. And even though we don't mind it (I don't mind it) I can understand the people that do. What if you're already listening to music when you go there? You have to pause your own song and wait until it's finished. Adding a mute button just solves lots of problems all around. I used to have a flash title banner on my website with music and didn't add the option to mute it and I got quite a few complaints over that. I eventually just took it down because I didn't have the flash source files anymore to add a mute button.

Ok. I guess you have reasons for your requests. :)

LOL! MI, did you really receive complaints from people visiting your music site... about the music playing? :lol That's silly!

It seems silly but when you think about it it makes sense. I guess it's the involuntary-...uh...-ness of it all. If someone wants to listen to music they want to be the ones to decide whether it plays or not. And I agree with that. It's just a nuisance. Plus if you go back to the website regularly it gets old real fast. I know it did for me and my website.

Hooray! I'm so excited. I've been following these folks from the very beginning. Congrats to AGDI for making such a high quality product - despite all of the fan harassment :p

And I don't know about you, but I've already converted Eriq's lovely main page into a screensaver so I can advertise the upcoming game to all of my co-workers.

Cheap Wacom?

Hmmm... don't think something like that exist... even if it isn't a Cintiq!
(Ok, with the exchange rate it is ten times worse for me, but still.)

about the music on the page: In my experience almost every client i've made a website for that has wanted music, and sometimes even sound has changed their minds within the following week of adding it to the page. The only exceptions were a few band websites. :) However i have never worked on a video game site. In my opinion, it's a video game website, music is important here. I agree that you should turn your volume down, or better yet don't browse the web at work :P. (side note: I'm a contractor and i work from home so they can't see what i do haha)

Cheap Wacom?
$500 dollars opposed to $2000. If i had to choose between a fancy wacom, or a regular wacom and maybe something nice for the wifey and still have a few extra bucks to go out (not to mention not having to worry about my share of the rent). i think i'd decide to uh... not spend my money like a drunken sailor (no offense,i was referring there only to myself. if you can afford it i'm happy for you!) :).

I would *so* have a frankenstein Cintiq if one of my laptops would yield its screen peacefully! Alas...its simply too tough to find/make a driver board for a lappy screen. That and, for some unknown reason, my tablet works fine when I draw directly on the surface, but placing any object thicker than a sheet of chipboard confuses it. It tracks the pen fine, but doesn't register clicks. And since you have to wedge a screen in the space between the tablet membrane and that imaginary plane where the pen stops working, I'm out of luck.

I have three laptops with working screens. One has a bad motherboard (or something, it got spilled and won't turn on) one the ribbon to the screen broke and the screen blanks white now. The other has IDE problems. Yish. I wish I could afford a real computer.

For how long is the collector's edition/QFG2 Poster offer open and would we have to enter some sort of code or just place an order between date A and date B to get the QFG2 poster?

Thanks.
