It does look wonderful. It's a shame I have to sleep now. I would've liked to play a bit. Oh well, I guess I have tomorrow afternoon for that. I especially love the way the streets of Shapier look. It surprised me a bit, but I wouldn't mind getting lost on those streets.

Looks great. I'm pleased that the enhancements are based upon QfG3. The third game has always been my favourite, followed by the original QfG2. The point allocation screen and interface are lovely. Now the already slight gap between the two has narrowed even further. The visuals have been tastefully and sympathetically updated, as has the music (which I've downloaded too). I'm particularly impressed with the character portraits, and the way you've implemented and simplified the alley system is pretty neat.
All in all, from the brief time that I've had to check out the game, this appears to be your most slick and accomplished game to date, surpassing even Al Emmo.

The new battle system is awesome. I liked it better than the ones in the official games.

I really didn't like it at first, I missed QfG1's (simple) battle system, but now that I've gotten used to it I think it's incredible (even more so because it's scripted in AGS). Very, very, very nice work Erpy!

Thanks Hypn. An obscene amount of work was put into it, so I'm hoping people will follow your example and give it a fair chance before passing judgement.

Well I guess they'll have to, if they want to finish the game and even if they don't like it, they'll come around once they get used to it. I mainly got frustrated with my enemy (especially scorpions) always blocking or dodging my attacks, but I brought the difficulty down a bit and got used to your system, then it was fine.Erpy wrote:I'm hoping people will follow your example and give it a fair chance before passing judgement.
Re: QFG2 discussion thread
There's a trick to help one beating scorpions, but you'd have to be pretty observing to figure it out.
Re: QFG2 discussion thread
it moves its stinger before it attacks? I'm pretty sure the original did that, that's really cool if you guys did the same thing... or i'm just way off and neither did that and I'm thinking of something else...Erpy wrote:There's a trick to help one beating scorpions, but you'd have to be pretty observing to figure it out.

Slept, worked, got car fixed, need to work more now, then sleep again, then work again, then finally play... I hate working twice a day... (at least it's only a couple days a week)

Besides that.oughtobe wrote:it moves its stinger before it attacks?
It's a lot less obvious than that.
