Becoming paladin

I've completed the game for fighter-mage hybrid and somewhy didn't become a paladin.
I've got absolutely all paladin points.
"To become a Paladin, you must have achieved an Honor score of at least 75.
You must also have at least 25 "Paladin Points" as described below (these and
others will be added to your score if/when you become a Paladin). Finally, you
must *not* have done any of certain dishonorable actions:

Killing Khaveen when he's unarmed.
Taking money from Omar's purse before returning the purse.
Having to be reminded (by Uhura) to return Rakeesh's sword. (You must
return it voluntarily.)
Entering the Metal Worker's House in Shapeir or Khaveen's house in
Raseir.
Trying to kill a helpless opponent in your EOF initiation.

"Paladin Points" are awarded as follows:

Return Omar's lost purse (found in the fountain plaza) (7 PP).
Return Rakeesh's sword without being asked (5 PP).
Be polite to Aziza and impress her with your manners (don't get kicked
out) (3 PP).
Refuse to kill Walid at the EOF Initiation(just say "no") (7 PP).
Give money to the beggar more than once (5 PP).
Tell Khaveen to "retrieve your sword" (7 PP).
Use Calm spell on Khaveen (7 PP).
But I have stolen bellows using magick from the smith (couldn't defeat him in arm-wrestling - in this version it is too difficult). The same I couldn't defeat Khaveen - so used on him calm spell. Could those to doings bother me to become a paladin?

Of course those prevent you from being a paladin.

You stole, and you killed a man without mercy.

I did not kill him - I used spell Calm on him.
The only stealing prevented me from being paladin, didn't it?

Stealing the bellows shouldn't prevent you from becoming a paladin. Maybe you could upload a savegame or so. Then I could at least check if the "honorless"-flag has been set.

I figured it out. You peeked on naked damsels in distress.

And so?
This deed is not mentioned in list of forbidden deeds for paladin. Also I became paladin in original QFG 2 after this.

Not this time around, buster. If you perve on the chicks, your Paladin gets nixed. >D

In QFG2VGA, it's a no-go I'm afraid.

was this change to account for the point issue with the griffin from before or you just decided that x ray specs are a bit much?

Well, it was not a honorless deed - it didn't decrease honor.
As I know, Paladins in QFG do not give vow of chastity :)
So, I've passed final again - and hero became paladin.
About griffin - it was written:
"You *lose* 10 Paladin Points if you disturb/kill the Griffin. (There is a
way to get a Griffin feather without bothering the Griffin.) This was not
supposed to have been a total disqualifier, but it effectively is (since you
can get at most 34 Paladin Points prior to becoming a Paladin, and losing 10
reduces you to 24 -- below the limit). Sorry! If we ever do a remake, we'll
reduce the penalty to -5.

there's a difference between chastity and peeping where I come from ;)

Chastity has less to do with it than disrespecting a consent from her side. Zayishah is not interested in naughty stuff. She gets annoyed when you try to go for a kiss and if you try it too often, she even kicks you out. I would imagine that a striptease would be even less voluntary. It does decrease honor, btw. But I suppose the positive honor for helping her canceled things out.

Disturbing the griffin does indeed reduce 5 paladin points, rather than 10. It does not reduce your paladin points to 0, like disqualifying actions do.

I think our hero deserves to see a little skin for all he's been through.
And I imagine Paladin's are repressed enough to enjoy it the most!

Maybe so, but true paladins don't take what is not offered.

Contempt yourself, and as a paladin, you'll be rewarded later in QfG4 with the chance to kiss a corrupt corpse. :)

Hi.
So I have my answer too hehe. Still I agree with Arastior :D
And about this "trying to go for a kiss Zayishah" - how to do it? I didn't have an option for this ACTION from what I remember :)

Also here's something about importing character to QFG3:
When I import my paladin I have wizard's introduction instead of fighter's one. When I import fighter (he has the same stats (maybe 3-5 points in honor diffrence - paladin 139, fighter 136 or so) only he is a pervert :D) everything is ok. Importing paladin and choosing to play as a fighter and importing fighter and choosing to play as paladin are also both fine.
Greetz.

Simply type "kiss" into the parser. Seriously, the reason for the parser addition is not just because some people dislike point&click trees on general principle, but also because it'd allow us to keep in stuff we'd have to scrap otherwise. (fyi, "give clothes" works in the parser too)

"Perve on chicks, no Paladin."

Haha. That's funny.

Of course it works.
And "give visa" works too,
It is funny after dropping visa or clothes.

Something funny struck me while reading this thread: AGD2's answer was the poet Omar, and immediately after, Erpy translates (ala Jaff'ar) for our unenlightened ears.

|I :o :rolleyes :\
aww just humor me will ya, I can't help but make these sort of connections, even without all the hype.

I think I agree with this honorable ruling (even though there's no reason she'd ever have to know); look if you like, but figure out if it's worth the consequences of no bad ass fire swords.
.
..
...
I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do.

So, it is absolutely impossible to do any of the thieving missions if you want to become a paladin?
