Ok I've notice something.A couple of times when I was getting water from the water fountain with the waterskin icon. The hero goes up to the top of the screen by wall, then suddenly comes back down and then fills his waterskins. It doesn't happen all the time and it might just be when you're waterskins are at a certain level I don't know. I just thought I should mention it.

more than likely has to do with where you're standing when you click the fountain. I think if the game can't walk straight there he goes to a default position where he can before heading to fill them up.

It's a quirk of AGS's path-finding algorithm. Not much that can be done about it, unfortunately.
