Rob Weapon Smith as Thief. Night 7

Ok. I got the hang of the combat system and a few other things. Now its night 7 and I have a rope. I decided to go to the weapon smith to use the magic rope to get his bellows. So I got them. Now I picked the lock on his door and its already barred? Why is that? I haven't robbed him yet. Please help me thank you
