Combat Slowed Down

am i the only one having this?
yesterday when i played it, it runs kinda well. everything goes smooth. combat is fast but i managed to adapt to it. today, when i wanna practice to uhura, everything slowed down. Move the game speed to the max, running on 640x480 windowed with no filter. at fist i thought maybe the combat difficulty setting was low. so i put it to the max as well thinking maybe the combat will run faster. But alas, effendi. my effort is fruitless. help pls
