QFG2 Harik Attar Burn powder glitch (thief)

whenever i ask Harik Attar about the powder it gives me the puzzle points as if he had given it to me, but it is never in my inventory, is there a workaround for this, or something i have to do before getting it?

With the powder of burning for the Earth Elemental, Harik takes a little convincing before he gives it to you. Just keep telling him about the Elemental.

Are you a thief? If not, you need to find an alternate method of dealing with the Earth Elemental. Otherwise, just tell Harik about the Earth Elemental twice on the day that it's rampaging around the streets and he'll give you the powder.
