To the AGD team -
Did you guys ever consider having the flames on Soulforge be the color of natural fire, as was the case in the original QFG2, or was the plan always to change them to blue to match QFG 3-5?
(In the QFG2 EGA game files, the animations of the Hero wielding Soulforge in combat have two different palette settings, one with reddish fire, the other with blue, QFG3 style. So perhaps the original artists may have wanted blue flames, but ultimately chose red because it looked better in EGA?)
PS - when you were in Oakhurst, did Lori and Corey show you the Hero's Crown design document? If so, could you answer whether there were any major changes from it to Dragon Fire?

I think we always wanted to go with blue for the sake of consistency. It's blue in the remaining episodes anyway.
And no, we didn't get to check the document of the last game very well. In fact, we only spent like 10 minutes checking them out. Not long for such a treasure of information.

Fair enough.
I suppose you did look at the QFG2 documents more closely, though, since you studied Wizard's Whirl. Did you see anything in there about the Hero being teleported to Mordavia at the end?

No. The design documents wasn't that orderly...it was a loose collection of sketches, ideas and scene descriptions. Nothing as detailed as a point-by-point plot.
