Mega bug! Fighting with Roget

I somehow bumped into Roget while he was walking away, and it seems he thought twice about leaving me alone, because he stood there as a valiant.
Now, I have a saurus on the same screen as a monster. So I tested what could I do. To my surprise, I can mount Roget, in which case I will ride him right into the fight, moment at which he disappears. After a normal fight, I get into a glitched up fight with a brigand where I'm riding a brown saurus, and after that, I get a glitched fight with a scorpion from which I can only flee (and then the game enters into a neverending loop of me fleeing from the scorpion).
If I don't mount Roget, he just stands there looking and cheering me up (until the fight starts, when he disappears again).
