Air Elemental Question

Air Elemental Question

I have a sort of issue with the air elemental. When you create a brand new wizard at the beginning of the game you don't usually think that he will need throwing skills since he casts spells, but now I find I can't defeat the air elemental because my hero has 0 throwing skill and since it's 0 he can't build any. Is there any way around this besides restarting the game? Or will he still sometimes be able to throw the dirt in the funnle? Because now he just throws it to the bottom of the screen no matter where I aim.

There are three different methods of stopping the air elemental: a) run into the air elemental and withstand its force, then drop the fooler's earth; b) throw the fooler's earth into the funnel; or c) cast levitate, wait for the elemental to pass below you, then drop the earth.
